It's not countries that are scam artists, it's people. There are some lovely people in Vietnam, and some atrocious people here in Vancouver. And vice versa. Don't discount an entire country because of one bad day, but don't forget it either...keeps you from getting duped the same way, twice! Remember, my biggest scam happened in Tanzania, a place you found wonderful. I hope you can experience Vietnam and love it as much as I did, it was one of the best places I went to! I'm sure the less-touristy places are always a bit better though....Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17883230020235650818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7224220385427197600.post-585384113230365432009-01-30T22:32:00.000-08:002009-01-30T22:32:00.000-08:00Welcome to Vietnam - scammer capital of the world!...Welcome to Vietnam - scammer capital of the world! My other 2 Round-the-World travelling friends just got done complaining about it for weeks on end and now you two arrive there. Do yourselves a favour and move quickly and on to Laos which is 100x more honest. It's too bad becausethere are some really great things to see and do in Vietnam but their tourism structure (or lack there of) has really hurt the country and its reputation. It's just not a nice place to be travelling.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
